“The Dreaming,” transcends the boundaries of conventional perception, inviting viewers into a mesmerising realm where the laws of physics seem suspended. In these ethereal masterpieces, Robb seamlessly blends elements of multi-camera photography and masterly manipulation of light and shadow to craft scenes that are both surreal and thought-provoking.

At first glance, the image appears to depict a young girl suspended in a kind of chamber, maybe that of interstellar travel, her delicate form illuminated by a soft, otherworldly glow. Her serene expression suggests a sense of tranquility and wonder, as if she has embarked on a journey of self-discovery amidst the stars.

The use of negative space in the composition enhances the feeling of weightlessness, emphasising the girl’s isolation in the cosmic void. Against this backdrop of infinite light, she becomes a singular focal point, drawing the viewer’s gaze with her graceful posture and dreamlike presence.

Robb’s meticulous attention to detail is evident in every aspect of the image, from the subtle play of light and shadow on the girl’s figure to the intricate textures of her flowing garments. Each element is carefully crafted to evoke a sense of awe and wonder, inviting viewers to contemplate the mysteries of the universe and their place within it.

The juxtaposition of the familiar and the fantastical adds an intriguing dimension to the artwork, blurring the line between reality and imagination. While the concept of a girl floating in space may seem far-fetched, Robb’s skilful execution lends it an air of plausibility, prompting viewers to question their perceptions of the world around them.

Beyond its aesthetic appeal, “The Dreaming” serves as a poignant metaphor for the human experience, capturing the essence of our innate curiosity and longing for exploration. Like the girl in the image, we are all travellers in the cosmic journey of life, searching for meaning and purpose amidst the vastness of existence.

In a world increasingly defined by boundaries and limitations, Robb’s artwork reminds us of the boundless potential of the human spirit and the infinite possibilities that lie beyond our understanding. It challenges us to embrace the unknown with open hearts and minds, to seek out new horizons and embark on our own voyages of discovery.

Ultimately, “The Dreaming” is more than just a work of art—these images are a transcendent experience that invites us to peer beyond the veil of reality and glimpse the wonders that lies beyond.
